The Windham Path, a scenic, family friendly trail loop near Windham in the Catskills

The Windham Path is a family friendly walking trail located just east of downtown Windham with trailheads on Route 23 and Route 296. The main trail is a 1.5 mile loop. If you begin at the Route 296 trailhead, it's a half mile spur to the main loop, for a total of a 2.5 mile walk.

The Windham Path offers a safe space to recreate by bicycle or foot (and stroller) in the summer, and cross country ski or snowshoe in the winter. We enjoy it as the seasons are turning, since the graded and well maintained trail doesn't get muddy. In the spring it's one of the first areas to be snow free and in the fall, one of the last to be snow covered.
