Review: Etón Raptor Solar USB Charger and Weatherband Radio Review

I'm a gadget guy, but even I have my limits, so I was not sure what to think of the Eton Raptor when I first received it. 

The Raptor bills itself as a Solar-Charger with All-Terrain Guidance Functions.  Those functions include a cell phone charger, altimeter, barometer, compass, AM/FM/weather band radio, clock, flashlight, and most strangely, a bottle opener.


How does it work?  Well like many things that try to do a lot, not everything is perfect.  However in a pinch you can charge electronics via solar power and you can have a weather radio wherever you are that's powered by the sun.  I wouldn't say it's perfect, but the Eton Raptor is an interesting device.
