Wet start to summer...

I'm starting to wonder if we're going to have a repeat of our summer two years ago when it just seemed to rain all the time.  We've had a few nice days and even stretches of days here and there in the Catskills, but for the most part it seems like it has been raining or at least been damp and foggy.  Yesterday and today are a case in point - downpours followed by clouds and drizzle - repeat over and over.

Makes it hard to get motivated to do any sort of outdoor work.  Had a trail crew scheduled for yesterday, but the volunteers cancelled due to the rain (smart thing, it poured).  Instead I managed to get to a bunch of different places throughout the region.  Also had a meeting over in the western Catskills in the evening, so I got to explore an area I really haven't spent much time at all in.

Hoping to get out this afternoon on some trails if the rain lets up.
