Discussion: Guides to Individual Trails?

What do you think?  I've been pondering if it's worthwhile to take some of the more popular trips I've done and convert the general trail descriptions here at AITO into a more detailed guide that could be used to hike the trail along with a simplified map for the entire route.  Is this something folks would find useful?  Would you spend 99 cents to get something like that if you were going to go hiking and wanted a guide but not an entire book for a region?

I've been wondering if it would be worthwhile and a good investment.  I've heard people talk about it before and I know some organizations that do it.  I think there might be some technical hurdles, but I could figure those out along the way.

Any thoughts?
